I am so sorry mama hasn't updated in a bit. She's kind of lazy but I keep her around because she has the money to buy the Cheez-Its.

Life is good around here. Mama and Daddy are teaching summer school so we don't get to really start our vacation until August 1st. We are biding out time, though, with long night time walks on the Esplanade, trips to the water park and an occasional trip to Parlee Farms. On the big news front I am spelling over 100 words, I read between 50 and 80 words and I'm in the full potty training swing. Check out Mama's scrapbooks for a better view of my summer!!!

We went to a really cool dodge ball game at Mama's school last Friday. I really wanted to play with all those cool teachers, fireman and police officers but they sad no. First I tried looking cute!

Then I tried looking sad.

Then I tried cheering for them.

When none of that worked I decided take all their balls and go home. Serves them right!!!!

Mama is soooo sorry she hasn't updated all my fans. Between taking care of me, finalizing her yearbook for school and starting to order stuff for her end of the year dance, she has been really busy. Of course, I also hog the computer so she doesn't get much time on it. Right now my favorite websites are Sesame Street, Mickey Mouse and You Tube (I like to watch ABC videos, not those stupid videos of cats going potty on the toilet).

First off, I am still ridiculously cute and getting cuter by the day.

In late January Mama, Daddy and I went to see Sesame Street Live. My head almost exploded. I couldn't believe I was seeing all my friends. For the first half of the show, I was in shock and awe and kept whispering, "Sesame Street". For the second half of the show I danced my little booty off!

Over February vacation Mama and I did lots of stuff! We went to Imajine That! with Merry abd Gaby. Of course, I found the letters most interesting.

On the Friday night of vacation, The parents took me to the Boston Children's Museum and it was a blast!!!

My favorite parts were the ball and bubble room. We're going back over April vacation and I can't wait.

Mama also took me to a really cool kids barber shop called Snip Its. We don't have any pictures of that because I screamed bloody murder the whole time. Once I was sufficiently covered in tears, snot, hair and blood ( I scratched my nose) and the haircut was done, I decided that this was a really cool place!
On an ending note, I am starting to learn the sounds for all the letters and can name words that start with certain letters. I'm getting smarter by the day!!!!

Mama and Daddy took me to the Museum of Fine Arts on Martin Luther King Day (Civil Rights Day for all you New Hampshire derelicts:) ). They had a big open house with lots of activities for kids and it was way fun. Of course, may favorite part of the trip was chicken fingers at Friendly's.

At the end of Holiday Vacation, Mama and Daddy took me to a really cool indoor gym named Imajine That! I got to go in a bounce house, play on huge slides, make really nice music and use my imagination a lot!!!

So Mama and I are home today with a case of the stomach flu and she got to do a little scrapbooking while I took a nap. As my Grammim found out yesterday, my Mama doesn't get a lot of time on the computer because it has become my favorite toy. I even know how to manipulate the mouse and surf YouTube. Oh yeah... I'm going to be a handful!!!

Why hello everyone!!! You would think that my Mama would have plenty of time to blog about me but the fact of the matter is, I don't let her use the computer. I am a computer hog. Whenever I see Mama on the computer I run over and demand either a) You Tube, b) Sesame Street website or c) movies of myself. I'm quite good at making sure she does not get to use the computer while I'm awake!!

My holiday was great! How was yours? We first started off the week before Christmas by buying me a bucket. Well, the bucket was for my toys but I enjoy eating my breakfast in it!

Then we had a crazy week before Christmas vacation where Mama and Daddy didn't even know when they were going to school, it snowed, it rained, it iced.... aaah! I did really love playing in the snow and enjoyed my sled even more this year.

As usual, Eco was the most excited about the snow!!!

He wasn't happy, thpugh, with what Aunt Dannielle and Uncle Roger got him for Christmas! Hee, hee, hee....

I, on the other hand, loved what Santa got me... a slide!!!!

Well, I gotta go help Mama cook dinner (pizza - one of my favorites). I'll tell you more about my Christmas adventures later!!!

Summer is over and we're back at school so the blogging gets fewer and farther between. Mommy said no matter how busy I am, though, I should take the time to let my fans know how I am doing, so here goes.....

One of my favorite things to do right now is hiding and my favorite hiding place is in the entertainment center. Daddy thinks it is ridiculously weird but Mommy told him that its normal... or is it?

Here is my first day of school picture... I look happy, don't I? The transition back to school was great. I love my new teachers and am really glad to be back with all my peeps. Mommy and Daddy can tell I already have my teachers wrapped around my finger. Sometimes its hard to keep this "I am a really great and cute kid" act up.

My new favorite thing is personal hygiene. I looooove to wash my hands and brush my teeth! Sometimes, I stick my hands in the toilet on purpose because then I get to wash my hands!!!

Yesterday, Mama, Daddy, Nana, Grampy, Kaleb and I went to Perpetual Motion to blow off some steam. I loved it even more than the last time. I really fell in love with the spiral slide but sometimes I came down backwards. We had so much fun!!!

So, I really can't remember what last summer was like because I was just one, but all I know is that this summer rocks. Since we're not going on vacation, Mama is spending lots of time researching cheap or free things to do in our neck of the woods. We are going to try to do one outing a week and Mama has named it our "Weekly Outing Extravaganza"!

This week we went to the Franklin Park Zoo and had an awesome time (There is a very elaborate scrapbooking project going on right now. We'll get back to you with those pics in a couple of days). Today, though we had a surprise Extravaganza bonus. Mama was looking at her blogs last night and saw one where another Mommy took her kids to this really cool park. When Mama Googled it, she found out its down the street! We couldn't believe our luck. Our town recently spent $850,000 to renovate the old public pool into a killer playground. Mama, Daddy and I packed the sunscreen and raisins, this morning and headed off to check out if this place was any good.

Oh, my, gosh!!!! Holy coolness....

I tried the slide and swing and a couple of riding toys.

My attention was shifted at 11 a.m. when the water went on....

They put in a water park!!!! I stripped down, beared the guns and went in!

At first I was really timid. This was a little different, after all (and those of you who know me, know I'm not always good with different).

Mommy even came in to join me with the fun, but I had no time for her.

I just wanted WATER!!!!!!

I spent almost an hour playing in the water. It was really cool because they would turn on different jets at different times so I had to run from one station to the next. I giggled and shrieked like a mad man the whole time and had a lot of other Mommies and Daddies laughing. Mama thought it was funny that I didn't like any station with a fine mist; I liked it when the water came down in buckets!!! I could have stayed there forever, but Mama and Dada made us leave when I started to drink the water off the ground (it's really clean and new but it is the inner city, folks!). I carried on a conversation about water in the car for a good ten minutes on the way home. What I'm really excited about, though, is Mama said we could go all the time because its local and free! Give me an "Amen" for local and free!

A Day in the Life of a Two Year Old

So, I bet all my fans are really curious as to what a newly two year old does to fill his days. Plenty, my good, lads, plenty.

Once we get outside, I like to take the trike out for a spin to see how my yard looks.

Then I like to walk to the front of the house and slam the outside door for at least twenty minutes. It drives Mama and Daddy mad but doors are just too much fun!

Then Mama and I like to play some "Ring around the rosie" on the light pole up front. This part is "we all fall down".

Sometimes we like to come inside and catch up on our reading. I totally recommend, "Merry Christmas, Stinky Face". it is a page turner.

Around lunch time I get a little hungry so I often decide to throw some bubbles on the grill. I love the taste of soap and it does wonders for my bowels.

After a nap, I like to sit with my Dad and do what I like to call, "Partially naked letter time". It really does wonders for my psyche.

Mommy likes to try to go out once a day. I enjoy it if there is something in it for me.

Other times, I just like to hang around with the world's largest chihuahua. I love him like a brother, but I wonder if he's looked in the mirror lately?

At the end of the day, though, all I really want is just some down time to play with my letters. Isn't that what everyone wants?

My Daddy, Mama, Grammy, Grammim and Grandpa Bill all chipped in on my birthday present this year. It is a full swing set with a fort, slide and sandbox and my amazing Daddy is building it from scratch. Doesn't he rock?

This is Daddy and Eco on Thursday before my birthday party. Look how much he got up in one day! (Eco was no help ... as usual.)

This is what it looks like today! Daddy still needs to put together the floor and ceiling of the fort, attach the slide and make a sandbox. He's building it at the speed of light, though.

Can you tell that I like it already?

I'm 2! I'm 2! I'm 2!
On my birthday we had the family over for a bbq and birthday cake. Wow! What fun!

I really loved my Elmo decorations. I especially loved the Happy Birthday sign. I could read every letter!

Don't I look excited? Everyone is coming to see me!

I got really cool toys like a farm, a table and chairs, a riding inchworm, a new tricycle and lots more!

We went outside to play for a while and I got to show Auntie Angi my letter and number reading skills. She was quite impressed!

Then I got to eat cake. Stop and Shop has two Elmo cakes available and now after two birthdays, we've gotten both. she told the bakery lady that either I had to come up with a new passion or they had to create a new cake. I'd put my money on them making a new cake!

All in all, it was a fabulous 2nd birthday!! Thank you everyone!!!

Yeah!!! Today was Mommy's last day of work for two whole months. We laughed and played as soon as she got home from typing up stupid curriculum (what the heck is curriculum anyways?). I was so happy that we could finally start our summer vacation that I just had to dance......

Now that Mommy's job is winding down (kind of... 2 weeks to go!) we can take some time to blog about stuff from way back when!
On Mother's Day Daddy, Mommy, Grammy, Roger and Dannielle and I went for lunch at the Weathervane. Mommy ordered me these really cool mini cheeseburgers and they rocked! They were the perfect size for my little hands! I acted like me weirdo self at the restaurant but I was well behaved. Weird but well!

We came home and played in the backyard because I love me some backyard running around!

Mommy, I'm getting to big to hold!

I practiced my letters and numbers. I know 20 letters now and I can call my mother by a proper name. Don't tell her I could do it all along.

Sometimes I just need to show my Mama some love!!!

I don't know if everyone knows this, but I am obsessed with numbers! I count when I wake up in the morning (literally...Mommy and Daddy will hear me over the monitor reciting "uh, doo, ree, or" and so on up to nine!) and when I go to bed at night!

Not only can I count, I can also identify the numbers and identify quantities. I still don't have a big vocabulary but I can count! Mommy says I'm going to be an engineer when I grow up!!

Holy hockey sticks Batman! My family is sick! I don't mean sick in the head (although the 'rents are kind of twisted sometimes). I mean, snotty nose, upset stomach, sore throat, call the CDC because we might have an unknown strain of the flu sick. In the last month and a half, this is how the tally has gone:

Mommy = 2 diagnosed cases of strep throat, 1 bad week of allergies and 1 stomach virus
Daddy = two possible cases of strep throat ( Daddy has some weird Dr. issues so we'll never know), bad allergies
Me = allergies, stomach virus and right now I'm suffering with a bad cough and cold

Geez! We are usually a healthy family. Why are we suddenly falling apart? Needless to say Daddy spent half of his vacation in bed sick and Mommy and I are spending our vacation together, sick, in bed and watching a lot of Curious George. This is not what I had in mind for vacation.
On a positive note, Grammim and Grandpa Bill came to see me today! We had so much fun! They hadn't seen me walk yet so they were so excited to watch me run around the house. Of course I showed them my mad skillz of counting (I can count to five and I really mean it!). They brought me a really cool lawn mower that shoots out bubbles; I love bubbles!!!!
So, because we are on quarantine and not allowed to leave the house by a Federal decree, Mommy made this cartoon of me playing by the toilet. Enjoy!!!

Mommy is really sorry for being a horrible blogger this month. She was sick, Daddy is taking 2 classes a week, she' trying to create the gala spectacular Grad Dance for her students and basically she'd rather spend her minimal free time playing with me than blogging about me. I think I'm okay with that!

I have 2 cool new tricks up sleeve. First off, I learned how to snap. Not really but I think it is cool when Mommy and Daddy snap so I tried to figure out how to do it. What I do is click my thumb while I touch my fingers together. I think this works even better! Second, my new favorite word is "chocolate". I love chocolate milk and like to walk around the house saying "oclat" hoping somebody, I mean anybody would just give me some chocolate milk!

So, for some odd reason, we have a snow day today! That means Mommy got some time to "make memories". Check out March's scrapbook!

What a wonderful February Vacation!

Mommy and I were on vacation this week and we had a fabulous time!

We played and played our hearts out every day. We played with balls and puzzles and any toy that makes lots of noise!

We read... alot. On a daily basis I made Mommy read me the same 10 books about 5 times apiece. My favorite books right now are Merry Christmas Stinky Face and any book with Elmo in it! Mommy is so happy I ant to read all the time and giggles her booty off when I walk across the house with a book so she can read to me!

We went to Barnes and Noble and... oh my... have you seen how many books they have? Mommy was quite impressed that I found every section of Elmo books in the children's section.

I also got to play with a really cool Thomas the Tank Engine train set at the bookstore.

On Monday we went to Tiff and Ryan's and had a playdate with all my friends. I was a little intimidated by the big boys and the babies kind of bored me so I found my interest in the big screen television. Daddy would have been proud.

Today, Mommy, Aunt Kate, Cousin Kaleb and I went to this really cool indoor playground called perpetual motion. I wouldn't go on this bouncy toy but I had no problem trying to eat it.

At first I didn't remember how to swing but then I remembered that I love it.

My absolute favorite was the ball pit. I loved sticking my hand way down and throwing all the balls all over the place. I even liked the slide that goes into the ball pit. I kept signing "more" to Mommy so she'd put me down the slide again and again.

The kitchen was cool because I could open all the cupboards and shut them. You know how much I love opening and closing doors.

I really enjoyed sticking my head out all the windows.

Even though I'm short, I started to work on my bball skills.

At first I found the sandbox to be really creepy but then I fell in love. What fun...not very tasty...but fun!

We had such a great vacation that I can't wait to April (or when Mommy wins the lottery and can quit her job)!

Mommy knows she has gotten a little behind on keeping the world updated on my life (because the world want to know!) but she has an excuse: this has been a month of milestones. I am quickly becoming a toddler and require lots of playing time and constant surveillance! Mommy loved making the end of year scrapbook for 2007 but she thought it might be easier to scrapbook at the end of the month for the 2008 catalog of my life. So, here's a look at all the high points of January!!!!

Mommy, Daddy and I got to spend the Patriots' Playoff game at our friends, the Rants. We had a great time and I practiced walking all over the place. Daddy had trouble watching me walk and the football game all at the same time. I was really excited because I was finally able to meet my new friend, BabyRants. He's really little and doesn't like to play with toys! Who doesn't like to play with toys? He was cute, though and Mommy said we could probably play together next year when the Patriots are in the playoffs (hee hee).

You know how I'm stubborn and like to do things on my own sweet time table? Well, I decided to throw Mom and Dad a bone and do some of that "milestone" stuff to make them happy. So, I finally let them know that I do know how to walk. I actually walked about 15 to 20 steps across my classroom the other day (Mommy and Daddy were there to see it) all by myself. Of course, seeing its me, that is all I have decided to give them for now. Now, I've gone back to telling them no when they want me to walk. I do really enjoy walking out of daycare holding Mommy and Daddy's hands. That is fun and exhausting.

So, I've also decided to let them know that yes, I do understand them and yes, I can talk. Up until last week all I said was Mama (not frequently though), Dada and no. Now I can say Elmo, Ernie, eye (when I say this I point to Mommy's eye or my ear;, does it really make a difference?), and have some beginning versions of dog and all done. I told you all not to worry!

Mommy has been really bad about blogging lately. She's been great at digitally scrapbooking all my important events but we're sure some of you just like the good old blog.
I went to see Santa last week at the mall and hated every minute of it. Mommy is trying to scan in the pictures so you can see my fear and shame. Santa came to school on Friday and brought me a really cool Elmo book. I still hated the man and this time refused to get near him all altogether.
I'm still not walking. I refuse! I am perfectly fine crawling and I have now found that I can walk on my knees. As far as I'm concerned, I could go on like this forever. Come on, I'm sure you've seen successful 28 year old men that only crawl and walk on their knees. No?...well, I'll be the first!
I have learned a new word but Mommy and Daddy aren't as overjoyed as you would think. I learned how to say no! I learned it because Daddy is always telling me "no" when I try to shove my hand in the toilet. Well, hah! The tables are turned. Not only do I love saying "no" but I especially love saying it to Daddy. If he hugs me while I'm playing, he gets a big ol' no! Hah! Take that!
Well, I'm not really happy that that big, fat guy with a beard is coming to the hous Monday night but I am excited to get new toys. Uncle Bob already gave me the coolest fort and building toys! Mommy made the fort and it resembled a castle fit for a king. Daddy got his hands on it yesterday and now I have a one car garage. Thanks Dada. I'll make sure I give you an extra helping of "no" this week!

We got another snow day on Thursday! We have more snow in our yard than we had all last winter. Daddy is building me a sleding ramp because the snow is too tall for Mama! She'll get lost if we try to sled!

Eco loves the snow! He loves snow days because everyone stays home with him!

I still love Elmo. Enough said!

Christmas shopping at the mall is great. Well, not really but dinner in the Food Court was!

So, I really don't think my Mommy feeds my Daddy. She's always giving me the greatest food but I'm not sure if Dada gets the same treatment. Because of my suspicions, I like to make sure I feed my Dada as much as possible. Here's what happens when Dada just wants a couple of Cheez Its for a snack.

We had so much fub decorating the tree on Friday!Well, really Mommy and Daddy had fun decorating the tree and I whined a lot because Mommy and Daddy corralled me in the living room. I hate gates and boundaries! Freedom!

Okay, Thanksgiving is a lot cooler than I remember. Last year I had that tasteless rice cereal stuff so I couldn't figure out what everyone was so excited about. This
year I got to have stuffing, biscuits sweet potatoes and deep fried
turkey! Now that's what I call a meal! Mommy and Daddy even let me have
some pumpkin pie. Mmmmmm...mmmm...good!

What a great day! Mommy, Daddy and I played hooky and went to the Red Sox Parade. They're world champions, you know? Mommy made a cool slideshow to the song "Tessie" but for some reason the song isn't coming in over the slideshow. Here's the non musical version. We had a great time!

Pumpkin Picking!

Wow! Pumpkin picking was awesome. We found this really cool farm down the road from where we live and we made a Sunday afternoon of it. We got to look at animals like goats and chickens, take a hayride and eat apple cobbler. In the end I got a little pumpkin, Mommy and Daddy each got their own pumpkin and we bought a weird looking pumpkin for Eco! I can't wait to go again next year!

Seriously! It's not nearly as bad as I thought. I have two wonderful teachers and lots of great friends. They have taught me to clap and they do art projects with me!

Mommy does wonder how much of the coloring was done by me because at home the only use I have for crayons is as a meal!

The only bad thing about school is, right now I have the second cold I've gotten since I started daycare. Mommy says it's just one big petri dish!

Well, I don't really hate it but I don't like the fact that Mommy and Daddy aren't home with me 24 hours a day. I got two really nice teachers, but they are no Mommy and Daddy!

So far, this is the report from school:

1. I'm very serious. I don't smile a lot like I do at home.
2. I usually scream when I enter the place. I want to go home and play with my toys and puppy.
3. They keep telling me I'm using the crayon wrong. What? It doesn't go in my mouth? You want me to do what with it?
4. I never shut up! I babble my three words all day long: Dada, Dog and Bob!
5. I like to steal the food of other children (my teachers and the director of the school told Mommy and Daddy this!). Listen, if they just lay all our food on the table, how am I supposed to know about boundaries. As far as I'm concerned it's all on MY table.
6. At this point in time, being a fabulous painter is not in my cards. Yesterday I wouldn't even touch the paint brush. I actually recoiled from it. Daddy says I'm just being suspect.
7. They have really cool me size chairs to sit on. I love feeling like a big kid.
8. I am one of the few kids in the room who still doesn't walk. I'm just starting to take steps when mommy holds my hands. Mommy thinks she should get me this tshirt:

We went to a really cool dodge ball game at Mama's school last Friday. I really wanted to play with all those cool teachers, fireman and police officers but they sad no. First I tried looking cute!

Then I tried looking sad.

When none of that worked I decided take all their balls and go home. Serves them right!!!!
